Adorn the Present

Adorn the Present is a group exhibition and live performance curated by jewelry artists and educators Hanna-Katarina and Brienna Hall of Shrine Jewelry.

Taking place at New York City Jewelry Week at Rosa in Williamsburg, November 16–19, the exhibition brings together artists working in jewelry, metalwork, objects, tableware, and wearable art. Exploring storytelling through material, intention, the body, and ritual, the exhibition will culminate in a live performance incorporating music, movement, and dance.

I have taken several classes in sand casting with Brienna and they are always excellent. Brienna is a wonderful instructor--knowledgeable and patient. She helps each student throughout however many projects they want to do. Sand Casting

Sand casting is an ancient metalsmithing technique where molten metal is poured into hand-shaped impressions in sand, capturing organic texture and form. At Shrine Jewelry, this process becomes a kind of alchemy — turning earth, fire, and metal into modern relics that feel both celestial and intimate.

Shrine Jewelry not only uses sand casting in its studio practice, but Brienna also teaches this technique at art schools and craft centers across the country, keeping this historic process alive through education and artistry.
