The Glittering Bracelet. Sequined clothing brought both style and spiritual protection to the ancient world. The bright, glimmering gold of a sequined garment was used to ward off evil forces while simultaneously providing security. Wearing sequins not only meant peace of mind but also satisfied a desire to display wealth and status. Sequins has been found in ancient Egypt, India and Peru. Historically used as practical armor against an uncertain future, these shining adornments were a powerful tool on one's journey.
